The name "Toowoomba" comes from an Aboriginal word meaning "swamp," but every September during early spring, this city turns into a floral wonderland ๐บ. With its mild climate and blooming flowers, it hosts the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, attracting countless visitors and photographers. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the festival! ๐ The flower parade at 10 AM featured many family and community floats decorated with "75 Years" themed displays. The carnival has become one of Queenslandโs signature events and is Australiaโs longest-running annual horticultural celebration. Toowoomba is known as Queenslandโs Garden City, with over 240 public parks and gardens. The most famous include: Queens Park Gardens Laurel Bank Park Japanese Gardens USQ Peacehaven Botanic Park We visited Queens Park Gardens this time โ the most popular garden with the richest variety of flowers ๐ท, and itโs free to enter!
