🇧🇪 Brussels | A 6-Euro Mutton Soup You'll Love Even If You Don't Eat

BEYRANET (Altın Köfte) is a must-visit spot for anyone craving some hearty and delicious mutton soup in Brussels. 📍 Chau. de Haecht 105, 1030 Schaerbeek, Belgium This was our first meal after landing in Brussels 🇧🇪. We dropped our luggage at the hotel and headed straight here for a warm and satisfying dinner. Even at nine in the evening, the streets were bustling with people, and there were plenty of food options along the way. However, we were drawn to this place based on its excellent online reviews. 🥣 Soups They offer a variety of soups, and we tried the mutton neck soup and the beef tripe soup. There are also options like mutton flank and mutton leg. 🐑 The mutton neck was tender and not fatty at all, with just a hint of a lamb-y flavor. As someone who doesn't usually eat lamb, I found it incredibly delicious! The soup is tomato-based but not sour, and it's very tasty. 🐂 The beef tripe was extremely tender and melted in your mouth! It's a delight for those who love tripe. The soup is broth-based and carries the flavor of the tripe, which can be complemented with garlic sauce. 🥬 Sides Comes with a salad (as seen in photo 4) and unlimited bread! The bread is perfect for dipping into the soup. 🧂 Seasonings They have salt, pepper, dried chili flakes, and the soulful garlic sauce! If you love garlic, be sure to add it. 🍖 Grilled Meats We ordered a duo platter, and it was also very tasty! It included lamb skewers, lamb chops, beef cubes, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, and meatballs. None of them were dry; they were all juicy. Accompanied by grilled bell peppers, fries, rice (very fragrant), and grilled flatbread. 🥤 Drinks We randomly picked a specialty yogurt, which had a taste similar to whey, sour and salty. It's an acquired taste that might not be universally appealing. The special black tea was the same as what I had in Turkey, both in cup and flavor! 💰 Prices The soups are all around 6 euros, and with the bread, you can have a full meal! This price is hard to resist.
