🇧🇷|Don't Come to University of São Paulo Just for Capybaras!
As Brazil's top university (QS ~100th, the "Tsinghua of Latin America"), USP is an academic powerhouse with stellar regional job prospects. But here's why it's not ideal for capybara-spotting: ⚠️ Tourist Woes: 1️⃣ Random Entry Checks – Our taxi got in, but others were stopped and had to walk 30-40 mins through a ghost-town campus 😅. 2️⃣ Restricted Access – The capybara meadow is off-limits (guarded by a big dog 🐕). Even with student help (rare + language barriers), we only got a distant zoomed-in photo. 3️⃣ Zero Amenities – No water/snacks sold on campus—we nearly dehydrated! ⚽ Even the football fields require student ID. 🌟 For Expats/Locals: Perfect for weekend runs, cycling, or picnics (bring your own supplies!). The empty lawns and sunshine feel surreal compared to crowded Chinese parks 😂. #Brazil #CapybaraFail #SaoPaulo #ExpatLife #USP
