🇧🇷 First Glimpse of Curitiba

In the 1990s, Curitiba became one of the first cities (and the only developing one at the time!) to make the UN's list of most livable cities—ranking alongside Paris, Vancouver, Rome, and Sydney. 🌍✨ Finally had the chance to visit for work, and here’s what struck me: 🏙️ The City Vibe Compact & orderly: Buildings are modest in height and density. Impeccably clean—even the graffiti-covered walls feel oddly tidy. Unexpected Eastern European flair in non-downtown areas... a faint Soviet-era aesthetic? 🏛️ 👔 The People Quiet streets (maybe because it’s Saturday?), but everyone dresses impeccably—my T-shirt and sweatpants made me feel underdressed! English is widely spoken (more than in São Paulo!). Bonus shocks: A hotel clerk greeted me in Hokkien, and a waiter spoke Mandarin! 😱 🏛️ Architectural Highlights Oscar Niemeyer’s "Eye Museum": Bold in a restrained setting, though the details felt... meh. The museum’s garden stole the show—playful public art blending seamlessly with people’s activities. Nearby? Government offices (driver said locals envy the area—lucky them!). 🌿 Wish I had more time to explore further! Next trip, for sure. #Wanderlust #CuritibaDiaries #HiddenGems #BrazilTravel #CityExplorer
