🇧🇷 Fortaleza, Brazil – A Quick Stop on a Cruise Journey! 🚢🌴
If it weren’t for our cruise docking here, we probably never would’ve visited this hot, humid city near the equator. 🔥☀️ The colonial-era buildings are worn down, many abandoned. The cruise offered a free shuttle to the downtown market, which felt like a rural fair—nothing special. We walked 🚶♀️ to the historic theater (the city’s most Instagrammable spot 📸), snapped a few pics, and headed back. Honestly… not much to see. On the way, we grabbed a local snack: ▪️ Fried pastry (filled with chicken/beef) – YUM! 🥟 ▪️ Fresh sugarcane juice – Way too sweet! (But hey, Brazil runs on sugar 🏭) 💰 Total: 12 BRL (~$2.50 USD) We also picked up: ▪️ Cashews (a regional specialty) – 32 BRL for a big bag! 🌰 ▪️ Natura hand cream (thanks, Xiaohongshu!) – 3 tubes for ~$17 USD… only to realize they expire this May! 😭 But the scent is so good—and they cost $20 EACH on the US website! Next stop: Stocking up! Oh, and coconut vendors here sell them for just 4 BRL now! 🥥 Next up: The AMAZON RIVER! 🌿🐒 Can’t wait! #BrazilTravel #Fortaleza #CruiseLife #AmazonAdventure #BrazilianSnacks #TravelFinds #SouvenirFailButStillWorthIt
