🇧🇷 São Paulo Travel Diary | Safe & Delicious 1-Day Itinerary

Just landed in São Paulo—surprisingly safe and super fun! Here's my tested-and-approved day of eats, sights, and vibes. 🛂 Entry & Stay ✔ Visa: Easy 10-year Brazilian visa, smooth immigration. 🏨 Hotel: Melia Paulista (on Paulista Avenue) – Clean, great pool, and right above Melissa shoes store! Perfect location. ⭐️ Itinerary (Follow This Order!) 🚕 Uber is cheap & reliable—use it everywhere! 1️⃣ Paulista Avenue Sundays = pedestrian paradise! (In winter now, but still lively with joggers & dog-walkers.) Visited Méqui 1000 (McDonald’s 1000th store—cute for pics!). 2️⃣ Beco do Batman (Batman Alley) 🎨 Colorful graffiti lanes, mostly tourists snapping pics. Small but fun! 3️⃣ Mercado Municipal 🍍 Huge market with fruits, cheeses, nuts & local snacks. Brazilian fruits = next-level sweet! 💵 Bring cash—most vendors don’t speak English. 4️⃣ Liberdade (Japantown) 🎎 Largest Japanese community outside Japan! Sunday = street food & anime shops galore. 5️⃣ Catedral da Sé (St. Paul Cathedral) ⛪ Stunning inside, but the area is sketchy (lots of homeless + police). 🚔 Pro tip: I walked from Liberdade (10 mins), but Uber out after! 6️⃣ Sampa Sky (Missed it, but recommended!) 🌆 Rooftop with epic views—buy tickets ahead. Verdict: Felt safe solo, just stay alert! 👀 🍽️ Food & Drinks 🍣 Lunch @ Kisetsu Sushi (Liberdade) Scored a solo seat with broken Portuguese! Feast for $26. 🍴 Dinner @ Mani Upscale Brazilian (needed a break from BBQ!). Desserts = heavenly. 🍹 Drinks @ Skye Bar (Hotel Unique) Cool UFO-shaped hotel! Cocktails > views, but full of beautiful locals. Final Thought: São Paulo = underrated gem! Just watch your belongings and enjoy the mix of chaos & culture. #BrazilTravel #SaoPauloGuide #SafeTravels #FoodieHeaven #CityWalk #SouthAmericaAdventure
