Cheaper/more thorough than cruise excursions! We skipped it this time—opted for a chill city stroll instead. 🏙️ About the City Built on steep hills (hello, leg day! 🦵😅) Most buildings: late 1800s–early 1900s Population: ~200k Once cod-fishing capital, now thrives on tourism & offshore oil 💳 Money Matters No cash needed! Credit cards work everywhere. Sad wallet news: CAD has dropped vs USD since our last trip (remember when it was 1:1 with USD? 😭) 📍 Must-See "0 KM" Marker at City Hall Marks the eastern start of the Trans-Canada Highway (7,821 km to Victoria, BC!).
