🇨🇦 Waterloo | What? Rice for $2.99?! Kam Yin Chinese Restaurant 🍚
Today, I’m dining at Kam Yin in Waterloo. This is actually my second time here. Same clean dining area, same busy waitstaff. 👧🏼 Even before dine-in reopened, I’d ordered takeout from them multiple times—and the flavors were always solid. In a time when many Waterloo stir-fry spots are turning into malatang joints, Kam Yin has managed to shift from Americanized Chinese food to legit Sichuan cuisine—and that’s no small feat! 👏 🔥 Dishes I Loved: Boiled Fish – Spicy, fragrant, with crispy veggies. 🌶️🐟 Cumin Chicken– Not authentic, but loaded with cumin—perfect for BBQ lovers like me! 🍗 Black Pepper Beef – Served like a steak? A bit confusing… but the sweet & sour Fish-Flavored Shredded Pork instantly brought me back to Northern Chinese flavors! 🥢 Overall, every dish here has a little something for everyone. The essence of fusion cuisine? Making sure you always find a taste of home. 🏡 💡 One Suggestion for the Boss: Lower the rice price! If you’re serving such perfectly rice-pairing dishes, don’t skimp on the portions! 😤 #ChineseFood #WaterlooEats #UWLife #SichuanCuisine #FoodieFinds
