🇨🇴 Bogotá Solo Travel Guide | Chill Vibes Only

Thanks to visa-free entry with a US visa and its proximity to the States, Colombia became my spontaneous getaway—and Bogotá stole my heart! I skipped the "hardcore travel" mode and spent 3 relaxed days exploring at my own pace. 1️⃣ Entry + Vaccines + Money • No Spanish? No problem! Even immigration officers barely spoke English (they just waved me through lol). • Yellow Fever Vaccine: Queue inside (passport only)—don’t wait at the tax-refund line like I did 😅. • Currency Exchange: Withdraw extra at the airport’s 2nd floor—many city exchanges close on weekends. 2️⃣ Where to Stay • Chapinero’s Zona G was perfect: safe, central, and full of gorgeous houses and cafes. Ideal for evening strolls (just stay alert!). 3️⃣ Sights Worth It (or Not) ⛰️ Monserrate: "Little Zhangjiajie" but foggy when rainy (meh). Pro tip: Buy tickets online and ask staff to bypass lines. 🏛️ Gold Museum: Cool shaman exhibits (free Sundays!). 🎨 Botero Museum: Free + whimsical "chubby" art. Nearby MAMU (modern art) is a hidden gem! 🛍️ Missed: Usaquén Flea Market (weekends only—next time!). 4️⃣ Food Adventures • La Puerta Falsa: Try tamal (hearty but heavy) and hot chocolate with cheese (polarizing—I wasn’t impressed). Cash only! 🍝 Via del Cuore (near Andino Mall): pasta in town—worth the hype! 🛒 Andino Mall: Great for shopping + upscale dining. #ColombiaTravel #BogotaDiaries #SoloTravel #ChillTravel
