🇨🇿 My Wonderful Impressions of the Czech Republic
After leaving Greece in early October, my next stop was Prague—my first time in Eastern Europe! The Old Town is both ancient and refined, with architecture reminiscent of London. Every side street is lined with centuries-old, exquisite buildings. Since it's not an immigration-heavy country, you see more local faces here, and the streets feel safer too. On my first day, while taking photos with a friend, we left our bags a few steps away without any worry at all. 😊 🍖 Food & Drinks Czech cuisine was a delicious surprise—no bland "white people food" here! I tried: Pork's for their amazing roasted knuckle and pork chops 🐷 Fried pork fat hot dog (sounds weird, tastes heavenly!) 🌭 Burčák (young wine) at a local market—first sip reminded me of Chinese rice wine, but with a fruity grape twist 🍇 Gelato at Angelato (their sealed lids = quality mark in my book!) 🍨 🚃 Transportation Czech public transport is SO efficient! 🚊 24-hour ticket = hop on any tram/bus/metro worry-free Trams come frequently, with many route options Even the trip to Kutná Hora was smooth: train → local bus → exploring churches on foot. Loved the town's quiet, chilly vibe compared to crowded tourist spots. ❄️ 🛍️ Shopping & Odd Finds Malls here have unique stores I'd never seen before Supermarkets are fun (though accidentally bought goat milk instead of cow's milk—oops!) 🐐 Found BEBA water-based formula at a pharmacy (out of curiosity, tried it... and regretted immediately—so gross!) 🤢 ❄️ Only Downside: The Cold! Coming from sunny Greece, I was not prepared! Had to dig out my compressed down jacket (meant as a pillow!), but the wind still stabbed through my hoodie. First time this trip I missed warm Shenzhen! 🌞 #CzechRepublic #PragueDiaries #KutnaHora #TravelMemories
