💐For this solo trip, I chose Prague—a short hop from Berlin. 💐My first stop was the Mandarin Oriental, housed in a converted 14th-century monastery (much like the Augustine, where I stayed on my last visit). 💐This marked my first experience with the Mandarin Oriental brand, and its flawless, nuanced service left an outstanding first impression. 🏨 Mandarin Oriental Prague 🍃Room Type: Deluxe Garden View King 🌄Unlike bustling hotels in Old Town Square, the Mandarin Oriental—like the Augustine—resides in tranquil Lesser Town. 🍃The hotel breathes new life into its historic white-and-red brick walls. Stepping through the arched entrance, 🌄greeted by the concierge’s polished welcome, I immediately felt the weight of its status as one of Prague’s top-tier stays. A staff member escorted me through winding corridors to my room. 🍀Though the 20-year-old interiors show their age, the charm lies in the harmony between time-worn elegance and the serene courtyard views outside. 🍳 Breakfast 🍀A classic semi-buffet—guests select one egg dish and a coffee drink. While perfectly adequate, it lacked memorable flair. 🍀For me, Augustine still holds Prague’s best breakfast crown. 🌟 Standout: The Concierge Team 💌The true stars were the concierge staff, whose service was warm yet unobtrusive. 💌 One rainy morning, noticing my light attire, one gentleman discreetly asked if I’d like an extra layer. 💌Such thoughtfulness!
