🔷Prague is bathed in red—from its vintage trams rattling through streets to its sea of terracotta rooftops, painting the warmest winter scene. Beneath Charles Bridge, 🔷the Vltava River flows silent yet powerful past the weir. To avoid crowds, we arrived before 8 AM to walk the empty bridge. 🔷The Lennon Wall: A Canvas of Revolution 🌈In 1968, as Soviet tanks crushed the Prague Spring, Czechs found solace in The Beatles. 🌈Singer Marta Kubišová’s Czech version of Hey Jude became the movement’s anthem: 🌈"Life wounds us, salts our scars, beats us with broken sticks... but don’t surrender." 🍀1980: After Lennon’s murder, his portrait appeared here—turning the wall into a symbol of defiance. 🍀1989: The Velvet Revolution triumphed; the wall was renamed "Lennon Peace Wall". 🍀2014: Briefly whitewashed for the revolution’s 25th anniversary, artists reclaimed it overnight. 🍀Today, its ever-changing graffiti still whispers to idealists and dreamers. #PragueSpring #LennonWall #CharlesBridge
