🇩🇪 2-Day City Walk | Marburg & Frankfurt

🌅 Day 1: From Gießen to Marburg 👉 Took the train from Gießen to Marburg (€6.60) and headed straight to the Tourist Information Center for a map. Highlights: ⛪ Elisabethkirche (St. Elizabeth's Cathedral) 🏰 Marburg Old Town 📖 Grimm's Fairy Tale Route (hunted for storybook sculptures!) ☕ Coffee by the River (sunshine + caffeine = perfection) 🌿 Botanical Garden (a quiet green oasis) 🚆 Stopped at Gießen to grab luggage from Hotel Tandreas, then off to Frankfurt’s Flemming Hotel Main Riverside (HIGHLY recommend—great location & value!). 🍽️ Failed to snag a table at 3 German restaurants (so popular!), ended up at an Indian spot—surprisingly delicious! 🌅 Day 2: Frankfurt’s Cultural Stroll 👉 Walked from Flemming Hotel to: ⛪ Frankfurt Cathedral (Gothic grandeur) 🏛️ Römerberg Square & Römer (Old Town Hall) ✝️ St. Paul’s Church (democracy’s birthplace) 📚 Goethe House (€12 entry—worth it for lit lovers!) 🍖 Lunch @ Schwarzer Stern (proper German fare near Römerberg) 🌉 Iron Bridge + Old Bridge (perfect for skyline photos) ✈️ Taxi to airport (20min, ~€43). 🏨 Hotel perks: Self check-in, on-site restaurant, 24/7 mini-market, and luggage lockers (€5 for 6hrs—fits 28" suitcases!). Everything was within 5-10min walk. ✨ Two days well spent! P.S. That Greek restaurant near Hotel Tandreas in Gießen? Cheap & tasty! #GermanyTravel #MarburgAdventures #FrankfurtDiaries #CityWalk #GothicArchitecture #GoetheHouse #CathedralViews #TravelTips
