🇩🇪 49-Euro Ticket Adventure | Chapter 1: Freiburg
🚄 Transport: Villingen → Freiburg (2.5h) Freiburg’s old town is perfect for exploring on foot—half a day is enough! 🚶♀️ Route: 1️⃣ Martinstor (Martin’s Gate) ~800m walk from the station. Great photo spot! Nearby: Kolben Kaffee ☕🍰 (a famous cake shop). Tried three flavors: Passionfruit 🥭 (best!) Black Forest 🍒 (boozy, but worth a try) Chocolate 🍫 (yummy but super sweet—eating a whole slice might give you enough energy to march back to China 🇨🇳😂) 👉 Pro tip: Share with friends! 2️⃣ Augustinermuseum 🖼️ (Free for under 27!) Small but full of sculptures and stunning stained-glass windows. Strong religious art vibes—worth visiting if you’re into that! 3️⃣ Freiburg Minster (Cathedral) ⛪ (Free entry) Outside: A lively market (open till ~2 PM) with fresh produce, flowers, and a popular hot dog stand 🌭 (bread was kinda hard, though). Inside: Main area: Free Inner chapel: ~2-3€ (skip it) Tower climb (3€ for students) 👉 Must-do! 📍 Enter through a small door on the right. ⚠️ Narrow spiral stairs—be ready to squeeze past people! ⏳ ~10 min climb → Breathtaking city views! 🌆 🔔 If you’re lucky, you’ll see the bells ring at the top! ⏰ Go early—last entry was ~4 PM when we went (Saturday). 🍦 After climbing, treat yourself to a waffle (3€)—simple but delicious! 4️⃣ Explore the Town 🛍️ Lots of shops and way more people than our village—felt like civilization again! 😆 Trip complete! ✅ #Germany #49EuroTicket #TravelGermany #StudyAbroadLife ✨
