It’s been a while since my last update – but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been eating! 😂 As an Asian-food lover, I’m always hunting for humble little spots around the city. Krua Thai is one of those no-frills, authentic places that feels like the "Thai version of a neighborhood dumpling shop" 🏮. Prices are lower than most Thai restaurants in Bremen, but the flavor definitely doesn’t disappoint. Great value for money! 🍛 【Pad Kra Pao 】 My first time here was after a rehearsal at the theater across the street – I came alone and ordered No. 6. One bite and I was hooked! 🤯 It’s stir-fried minced meat (pork/beef mix or chicken – go for pork, it’s €1 cheaper) with Thai basil, long beans, and onions. The taste leans slightly Chinese, but the Thai basil brings a unique aromatic kick 🌿🧅. Definitely ask for spicy – it elevates the dish! Served with a perfectly runny fried egg 🍳 – break the yolk and mix everything with rice… pure comfort! 🥗 【Laab 】 Another signature dish – lighter in color but big on flavor. It’s also made with minced meat, but with toasted rice powder for a crunchy texture 🍚✨. Fresh mint and cilantro give it a refreshing twist (though it might not be for everyone). I still prefer No. 6, but this is worth a try! 🍜 【Pad Thai】 Classic stir-fried rice noodles topped with bean sprouts and crushed peanuts 🥜. You adjust the spice level yourself with condiments. Comes with egg, carrot, and scallions. Not overly oily – a solid choice. Add chili powder for extra kick! 🌶️ 🍚 【Bratreis (Fried Rice）】 A must-try at any Asian restaurant! Fried rice here is fluffy, fragrant, and loaded with egg, peas, carrot, onion, tomato, and bok choy.
