🇩🇪 From Munich to Passau on RE3 — To See the Three-River Confluence!

Despite suffering from a toothache for days and feeling low on energy, I still decided to make the trip. Passau is a bit far from Munich — the RE3 takes about 2.5 hours — but this city is totally worth it! In fact, one day isn’t even enough to see everything. 😮‍💨 Passau is home to the Veste Oberhaus fortress — huge and full of history. You can learn about the past and enjoy a stunning overlook of the three rivers meeting. 🏰 The climb up and down was exhausting, especially since I’d been dealing with inflammation and pain earlier this week (Monday to Wednesday were rough 😣). But surprisingly, hiking made me sweat so much that it felt like a full-body detox — by the end of the day, my tooth wasn’t hurting anymore, the swelling was gone, and I felt amazingly light and refreshed! 💦 Another shocker — I, the amateur hiker, ended up going down an unofficial trail all by myself. It wasn’t until I was almost at the bottom that I realized… “Wait, why didn’t I take the stairs?!” 😂 There was no one around the whole way — still not sure where I found the courage that day… Passau is beautiful 😍 — there’s a colorful alley perfect for photos. Next time I’m wearing a hanfu there for sure! 👘 In the evening, I rushed back to Munich and barely made the 17:19 train. I ended my day with a bowl of spicy and sour beef noodle soup and some cold seaweed salad near Hauptbahnhof. Absolutely perfect! 🍜💚 #ViewsFromTheJourney #SpontaneousTrip #DayTripFromMunich #Passau #HikingTheWorld 🌍✨
