🇩🇪 Hamburg|Ultra-Detailed One-Day Travel Guide 🗺️ (Packed with Tips

Taking advantage of the nice weather in Germany and longer daylight hours, I squeezed in a quick trip to Hamburg one week before school started 👇 Known as "Germany's Gateway to the World," Hamburg is the country's second-largest city after Berlin. 🚄 Transportation: Took the ICE from Göttingen, about 2 hours. 🗺️ Most of Hamburg's attractions are quite concentrated, with each spot roughly a 10-minute walk from the next. Here’s the detailed itinerary (follow this order to avoid backtracking!): Binnenalster (Inner Alster Lake) ➡️ Hamburger Kunsthalle (Hamburg Art Gallery) ➡️ Hamburg Rathaus (City Hall) ➡️ St. Nikolai Church ➡️ Deichstraße (Old Quarter) ➡️ Speicherstadt (Warehouse District) ➡️ Elbphilharmonie (Elbe Philharmonic Hall) ➡️ Miniatur Wunderland (Miniature Wonderland) 1️⃣ Binnenalster (Inner Alster Lake) A 10-minute walk from the train station. Looks stunning in good weather—the swans 🦢 are so elegant! Even caught a lucky rainbow 🌈. 2️⃣ Hamburger Kunsthalle (Hamburg Art Gallery) Student ticket: €8. Don’t forget your student ID 🪪! Lockers are on the left after entering. If you don’t have coins, ask staff for a token. Wanderer above the Sea of Fog isn’t currently on display—it’ll be back in June. 3️⃣ Hamburg Rathaus (City Hall) A magnificent neo-Renaissance building and one of Hamburg’s landmarks. Free to enter and explore inside. 4️⃣ St. Nikolai Church Student ticket: €5 💶, includes elevator access to the top (panoramic city views) + an underground museum. Tickets can be bought on-site. 5️⃣ Deichstraße (Old Street) Lots of photo spots recommended on Xiaohongshu, but currently, every other building is under renovation 🚧. Personally, it felt underwhelming—just a quick pass-through. #RecordTheMoment #StudyAbroadTravel #StudyAbroadLife #GlobalStudentAdventures #100WaysToExploreACity #GermanyTravel #HamburgTravel #StudyInGermany #TravelGuide #LifeInGermany #WeekendGetaways
