🇩🇪 Lübeck | Baltic Sea | Travel Street Photography 📸

How can you stay in Hamburg and not visit Lübeck? This once-glorious medieval city, now a quiet gem, sits along the Trave River as Germany’s largest Baltic Sea port. 🏰⚓ Once the capital of the Hanseatic League, it was the first city in Northern Europe to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. ✨ 📍 Holstentor Gate Back in the day, Lübeck could only be entered through four gates, and the most famous one still standing is the Holstentor. The entire old town retains its medieval charm, filled with ancient buildings and narrow alleys. (p4 was taken in the park next to the gate—such a peaceful spot!) 🌳📷 📍 St. Peter’s Church (Lübeck) Badly damaged in WWII, the church was restored in 1987, but its interior was never fully rebuilt. Instead of religious services, it now hosts cultural events, art exhibitions, and interfaith gatherings. ⛪🎨 📍 The Baltic Sea Unfortunately, I visited in winter with little sunshine, so I didn’t see its best side. ☁️❄️ But I did meet some friendly locals who proudly introduced me to their dogs! 🐕💖 📍 Old Town This is the place for food, souvenirs, and weekend getaways—lots of Germans come here to relax and explore. 🛍️🍽️ #LübeckTravel #Germany #Photography #StreetPhotography 🌍📸
