🇩🇪 One-Day Tour in Hamburg 😃
This is my third time visiting Hamburg—and it still feels fresh every time! Most of Hamburg’s key attractions can be covered in a day. Follow the Alster Lake from north to south: take a stroll along the lake, visit the City Hall (Rathaus), and check out the church with an observation elevator. A short walk further leads to the old harbor, where you can take photos and explore. The famous Miniatur Wunderland (Miniature Wonderland) is here too—book tickets in advance (adult ticket €20) 🚂. Head south, and you’ll reach the iconic Elbphilharmonie (Elbe Philharmonic Hall), perched right by the harbor. You can go up to the top for free to enjoy panoramic views of the harbor 🎵🌊. The whole route is walkable and doesn’t take too long! Next to the City Hall, there’s also a 4-story Uniqlo. The clothes are great value for money, fit Asian body types well, and have a simple, minimalist style—perfect for a quick shop 🛍️. But I have to rant a little about today’s dining experience in Hamburg—it was quite disappointing. I tried a seafood restaurant called Karofisch after seeing recommendations on Xiaohongshu. The value was okay, but the taste was totally underwhelming. It didn’t seem to be a German-owned spot; the ingredients looked fresh, but the cooking was super basic: just grilled fish chunks served with lemon and roasted potatoes, paired with three common supermarket salad dressings for dipping. The worst part? Some of the seafood and potatoes were burnt—they tasted bitter and charred! And yet, the restaurant had a line during peak hours. I arrived early, but when I was about to leave (my friend had gone to the restroom), the manager waved impatiently, rushing me to the checkout counter to pay and leave. Any random BBQ stall back in China could easily outdo this place! 😤 #Hamburg #GermanLife #HamburgTravelGuide #HamburgFood
