🇩🇪 Stuttgart – Frankfurt 2-Day Road Trip
Day 1: Frankfurt → Stuttgart Due to the 7-hour time difference, I woke up at 4-5 AM — perfect for a packed "special forces" style itinerary! 🪖⏰ Picked up the rental car early at the airport and hit the road. 📍 Mercedes-Benz Museum Bought tickets at the entrance. Free Chinese audio guides are available at the check-in! 🎧 The elevator takes you to the top floor — 8 levels in total with tons of exhibits. Duration: ~1.5+ hours (depending on your pace). 🍱 Bertha’s Lunch at the museum’s basement restaurant. Food was decent ☑️, slightly pricier than outside, but super convenient. 📍 Porsche Museum Show your Mercedes ticket to get a discount here! 💳➖ So visit Mercedes first and keep your ticket. Porsche Museum is smaller — around 1 hour is enough. 🍱 Carls Brauhaus Located at Schlossplatz 🏛️. Perfect spot for pork knuckle after sightseeing. Very popular — be prepared to wait. We tried pork knuckle (crispy but a bit gamey 🐷) and pork chop. Their beer is a must-try! 🍻 Lots of varieties — we randomly picked two and both were great. Day 2: Stuttgart → Heidelberg → Frankfurt 📍 Heidelberg Woke up early again (thanks, jet lag!) and drove to Heidelberg. Since it was Sunday and only 9 AM, the Philosophers' Walk and Old Town were almost empty ☁️👣. Climb to the top of Philosophers' Walk, then take a left to the best viewpoint overlooking the castle and town 🏰🌄. Walk down, cross the Old Bridge, and explore the tranquil old streets. Many shops are closed on Sundays, but the famous cinnamon roll shop is open — don’t miss it! 🥨🍯 📍 Eurotower A 10-minute walk from Römerberg. Not much around except the Euro sign — quick photo stop 📸💶. 📍 Römerberg (Roman Square) The heart of Frankfurt ❤️. Key attractions like the Iron Bridge, Goethe Street, and City Hall are within walking distance. 🍱 Ming Garden One of the best Chinese restaurants we tried in Frankfurt! 🥢🍜 Located near Römerberg — highly recommend if you’re craving Asian flavors. #Stuttgart #PorscheMuseum #MercedesMuseum #Heidelberg #Frankfurt
