š©š° Hidden Michelin Gem in Copenhagenās Elevator | Trio
ćTrioć As one of the highest restaurants in Copenhagen, the entrance is quite discreet. We searched for a while before discovering we needed to take an elevator to reach the restaurantās entrance. Due to its elevated location, the view is spectacular, and the decor is modern and comfortable. We made a reservation on their website in advance. The menu changes regularly, so itās a good idea to check the offerings to see if they suit your taste before you go. š The bread served before the meal was incredibly delicious, especially with butter. Itās rough on the outside and fluffy inside, full of wheat aroma. Canāt stop eating it! Ā·StartersĀ· š„¬ Green asparagus with elderflower ā Made by a Chinese chef, the asparagus is steamed for just a few seconds, very tender, and the accompanying sauce is refreshing. š Sea scallop āsamosaā with lemon ā Who can resist anything fried? The crust is crispy, and the lemon sauce is a unique and memorable pairing. š¦ Fried fjord shrimps with tomato ā A tower of fjord shrimp meat at the bottom with tomato, a bit sour which is very appetizing. š¦ļø White crab with cucumber & caviar ā Crab meat at the base, quite standard, topped with cucumber dice, beans, and caviar. Looks nice but doesnāt taste particularly amazing. Ā·Main CoursesĀ· š Halibut with white asparagus ā A standard halibut dish, comes with a white asparagus and classic French white sauce. Quite an ordinary dish. šāš« Mushrooms with onion broth & ramson ā The sauce doesnāt overpower the mushrooms; instead, it enhances their unique flavor. š„© Danish lamb with combo & kale sprouts ā The only dish I didnāt quite enjoy. The lamb is delicious, but the lamb offal pudding has a peculiar taste thatās hard to appreciate. Ā·DessertsĀ· šØ Thyme ice cream, buttermilk & quince oil ā An unforgettable dessert. The thyme ice cream is much better than it sounds, with a citrusy taste. The quince oil is a bit rich, but you can just avoid it. šØ Rhubarb with chamomile & white chocolate ā It seems that rhubarb is used frequently in desserts in certain seasons, but personally, Iām not a fan, so I didnāt love this dessert. I just ate the ice cream and avoided the rhubarb. š° Average cost: 825 kr. / about Ā£100 This is a restaurant I would visit again on my next trip to Copenhagen. #MichelinRestaurant #Michelin #AtmosphericRestaurant #MichelinRecommended #CopenhagenFood #Copenhagen #CopenhagenTravel #Denmark #CopenhagenFoodExploration
