🇪🇬 There’s so much to explore in Cairo — I recommend staying at least two days! 💫 One day for a classic tour after you land, and one day for a relaxed city walk before you fly back 🧳✨ Luckily, my return flight was delayed, so I got an extra day to wander — and it was totally worth it! 🎉 ⏰ One-Day Itinerary： 📍 Giza Pyramids（9:00 - 11:00）🏜️ I booked a private car that drove right into the site 🚗💨 No camel or horse rides — avoided scams completely ✅ The car entry fee is 25 EGP + driver’s ticket (cheap for locals) 💰 Don’t make my mistake — I accidentally bought the 700 EGP tourist ticket 😭 Non-refundable! Enter from the North Gate, exit from the South Gate — ends at the Sphinx 🗺️ Smoother route, less crowd. 📍 Egyptian Museum（12:00 - 15:00）🏛️ Home to the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts 🔍 The new museum is open now — but I didn’t go 🆕 Tutankhamun’s golden mask is a must-see ❗(no photos allowed) 🎭 So many mummies! 💀 You can hire a guide, but most seemed to rush 🏃‍♂️ I watched Bilibili videos the night before 🧠 and revisited the stories while exploring. Still couldn’t see everything — it’s huge! 📚 📍 Cave Church（15:30 - 17:00）⛪ Went by private car. The church is inside a cave — you pass through “Garbage City” 🗑️🤧 Very strong smell — not for everyone 😷 Tough road — better to pre-arrange round-trip transport 🚙 The church is small and pretty in daylight, but not a must-see 🌞 Better to replace this with Salahuddin Citadel — sadly I ran out of time 😢 📍 Khan El Khalili Market（19:30 - 22:00）🛍️ After the tour, relaxed and shopped here 💃 It’s like the “Yiwu Market” of Cairo 🇪🇬 (I’ll share in another post about unique and affordable jewelry finds! 💎) But be careful — don’t wander too far 🚫 I accidentally entered a residential area: very dirty, chaotic, and everyone stared 👀🌃 Locals don’t speak English — better stay within the market 🗣️🚷 Took a taxi back to the hotel afterwards.
