🇪🇸 Finally, 14 Truly Great Meals in Madrid—No Clickbait!
Spain is just too delicious! No wonder even Xiaohongshu—a platform where food from around the world often gets mixed reviews—can’t stop raving about it 🤣 (just kidding). Spending 2-3 days in Madrid is perfect—you can experience almost everything worth seeing and doing! The scenery is lovely, and the food is even better. We embraced the local custom of enjoying a small drink with every meal. The prices are relatively low for the EU, especially for dairy products and bread. 🌮 Snacks: 「Mercado de San Miguel」 – Plenty of snack options with controllable portions (e.g., you can buy just one tapa). It’s touristy and a bit expensive (but acceptable), and you’ll need to eat standing. Highly recommend the cod fish spread tapa! 🍽️ Main Meals: 「Mesón del Champiñón」 – A cave-style tavern 🍷 with affordable and exceptionally good sangria. The grilled mushrooms are delicious but a bit salty. 「Dudua Palacio Restaurante Mediterráneo」 – A slightly pricey but generously portioned paella 🥘. The Iberian ham with fried eggs and fries is amazing! 🍰 Desserts: 「Chocolatería San Ginés」 – A century-old churros shop 🍫. Delicious and rich in flavor. 「Bico de Xeado」 – p6 A great ice cream spot near Plaza Mayor 🍦. Recommend the cheesecake (tarta de queso) and coconut (coco) flavors. 「Caracola Antón Martín」 – A must-try Basque cheesecake❗️ I’ve previously posted a whole article praising it 👍. Large portions with many flavor options—highly recommend pistachio and lotus! 「MYKA Greek Frozen Yogurt」 – A refined, non-trendy frozen yogurt shop 🥛. Loved the guava and original flavor combo—refreshing and not overly sweet. Toppings included two types of Dubai chocolate (crunchy, pistachio + chocolate) and strawberry crumble. As someone who doesn’t like eating at conventional meal times, I absolutely adore the Spanish schedule: lunch at 2 PM and dinner at 8 PM ✌️. #Food #MyFoodDiary #StudentLife #FoodieAbroad #FoodAndFun #GlobalEats #TravelSpain #MadridFood #FoodHasNoBorders #DessertLover
