We took the ALSA bus from Madrid at 8AM on Saturday, arriving in Granada at 1PM (with a rest stop along the way). 🚉 Day 1 Transport Card: Bought at a tabaco shop near the station (€1.5 card + €5 top-up for 2 days). Lunch at Los Diamantes: Local chain packed with locals! 🦐 Fried shrimp & clams + free mini paella. Basílica de San Juan de Dios: Student ticket €9—stunning gold-covered walls ✨ + AR experience! Mirador de los Carvajales: Local’s secret—same views as San Nicolás, minus the crowds. Arabic Tea House (Tetería El Bañuelo): "Anochecer en Granada" tea with Alhambra views ☕. Dinner at Palacio Andaluz Almona: Lamb skewers (no gaminess!), fluffy naan, and tender beef stew 🍖. Bonus: Christmas lights lit up the streets! 🎄 🏰 Day 2: Alhambra Day! Bus C32 to Palacio Emperador Carlos V. Pro tip: Student tickets require EU Youth Card + passport (swap for paper QR ticket onsite). Nasrid Palaces (10AM slot): Lion Courtyard 🦁 + Myrtle Courtyard 🌿 (the highlights!). Carlos V Palace: Sunlit corridors = perfect photos 📸. Generalife Gardens: Emerald-green arches and fountains 💚. Lunch at Restaurante Palestina: Combo plate, mixed kebabs, and fresh limonada 🍋.
