🇫🇷 Paris | Epicure ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Finally, I got to try the famous bladder chicken at Epicure! This place has been on my must-try list for a while. Booking wasn't too difficult; we made a reservation about a month in advance, and there were still seats available for all the time slots. The price difference between lunch and dinner is minimal, so we chose lunch because the garden with the sun was absolutely beautiful! If you visit after spring, you can request a garden seat (just send an email to the restaurant after booking to make a note!). There's even a fountain in the middle of the garden, so if you want to sit by it, make sure to let the restaurant know in advance 😆 Pages 2-3 of the menu are different for ladies and gentlemen. The men's menu has prices, while the ladies' menu doesn't (even the wine list is differentiated). Very European 😝 Since we were there for the bladder chicken, we opted for à la carte instead of a set menu. If you're coming for their cheese cart and dessert cart, à la carte might not be the best choice 😢. Even with à la carte, we still got small amuse-bouches, soup, and petit fours. Two of us ordered two appetizers, one main course, and one dessert, and we were super full! But I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see the bladder chicken presentation because we were seated outdoors. When we saw the chicken, it was already in the form shown on P4 🥲. A handsome waiter carved the chicken for us and served it as shown in the bottom left of P6 and P7. The taste was good, but it was also the most expensive chicken breast we've ever had. It's probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience 🤣. If you want to see the bladder chicken presentation, make sure to confirm with the restaurant beforehand 🥺. For dessert, we tried the sorbet that the restaurant highly recommended, but we thought it was just okay 🤪. For drinks, we ordered a bottle of Moët, which I remember cost around 110€. 😋 Deliciousness: 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑 🪐 Value for Money: 🌕🌕🌘🌑🌑 👧 Willingness to Return: 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑 💰 Price: Average of 450€ per person with drinks #Paris
