đ«đ· Pittsburgh Hidden Gem | A Secret Garden French Bistro âš
Havenât seen anyone talk about this place yet! If youâre tired of the usual spots like Poulet Bleuâthis oneâs for you â€ïž More authentic, less âInstagrammable,â and truly family-style French cooking. The owner is super chillâonly takes reservations by phone! đ We were the only young couple thereâmostly older regulars enjoying a cozy night out. đ Grilled Escargot Buttery, garlicky, and delicious! Perfect with crispy baguette slices đ„ đ„ Chicken Liver PĂątĂ© So smooth and richânot too salty, better than Poulet Bleuâs version imo! âš Scallops and Asparagus Perfectly seared, sweet, and freshâeach scallop was huge! White wine butter sauce = dip-your-bread heaven đ A bit pricey (around $40+) but worth the treat. đ„© Beef Bourguignon + Mashed Potato Tender beef, deeply flavorfulâcooked with brandy (I looked it up after đ) The veggies (onions & celery) soaked up all the richnessâso good! Mashed potatoes had just the right textureânot overly purĂ©ed. Great portion and fairly priced! đ· BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) They donât serve alcohol, but you can bring your own wine ($10 corkage fee). We didnât bring any, but two kind grandpas at the next table shared theirs with usâand it was delicious! đ„ The vibe inside and outside is charming, rustic, and intimateâperfect for a date! We went on a rainy night, but the garden seating must be lovely in good weather đž đ«đ· Bertrand đ 1910 Cochran Rd, Pittsburgh âŒïž Phone reservation onlyâno walk-ins!
