🇬🇧 A Day Trip to Cambridge During Graduation Season
Getting to Cambridge from London is super quick and convenient! 🚆 We started with a highly-recommended Thai restaurant: 🥢 Baan Thai Street Food Lots of Chinese customers – you know it’s legit 😄 We each ordered something different and everything was delicious! Then we followed the classic walking route around the city 🚶♀️ The souvenir shops didn’t wow me, so I just grabbed a magnet and postcards 📮 Next to it was the famous ice cream spot: 🍨 Jack’s Gelato They have some wild and unique flavours! We tried: Cambridge Elder Flower King’s College Lavender Started off refreshing but got pretty sweet toward the end (classic Western desserts 🍯) 🍎 Newton’s Apple Tree is fenced now, but you can still take fun perspective photos 📸 King’s College was closed, but the streets were filled with graduates in gowns – a beautiful scene itself 🎓 We even stumbled upon a graduation parade with teachers and students playing music – so chill! 🎺😎 Tried a coffee shop my sister saved: ☕️ Bould Brothers Coffee Supposedly top-rated locally, but I thought it was just okay. Still, a nice spot to rest and people-watch on a sunny afternoon ☀️ Then it was time for our booked punting tour: 🚣 Punting – so many companies, and some of the guides are really handsome 😉 The River Cam is beautiful, but I preferred watching the scenery along the banks – so peaceful and picturesque 🏞️ The 50-minute ride flew by, but the sun was brutal – remember sunscreen! 😫 Before leaving, I grabbed a cinnamon roll from Fitzbillies – a Cambridge specialty! 🥨 It had extra icing and was pretty tasty. Not expensive either. Cambridge is quite compact – one day is plenty to see it all 👌 #UKTravel #VisitUK #BritishFood #UKUniversities #CambridgeUniversity #CambridgeTour #CambridgeFood #Punting #DayTripGuide #Cambridge
