🇬🇧 Cambridge | A Journey Through an Academic Timeless City
“I wave my sleeve, not taking away a single cloud.” ✨ Finally set foot in the long-dreamed-of Cambridge and experienced the poetic romance depicted by Xu Zhimo🎈 Cambridge is breathtakingly beautiful—every corner invites you to pause and linger. The ancient college buildings, adorned with ivy-covered walls, seem to whisper tales of centuries past. 🏛️🍃 A huge thanks to the super charismatic guide from Beijing, , for an amazing Chinese-guided tour deep into Cambridge’s three great colleges: King’s College St John’s College Trinity College 🛶 Punting on the River Cam was the highlight of my trip—it’s undoubtedly the most relaxing way to explore Cambridge! Our punter skillfully navigated the river while sharing fascinating stories and history. Knowing we were from China, he even recited Xu Zhimo’s Farewell to Cambridge in Chinese ❤️ Lastly, don’t miss out on the local food: Freshly fried Fish & Chips from a street stall 🐟🍟 The incredibly popular Jack’s Gelato—creamy, sweet, and utterly delicious 🍦 📍 Transport: From London, take a train from King’s Cross, Liverpool Street, or St Pancras. The journey takes between 50 minutes to 1.5 hours. 📲 Download Trainline or Trainpal for easy ticket booking. 🎫 Attraction Tickets: King’s College requires paid entry—grab a guidebook inside for a 10% discount at the souvenir shop. St John’s College is currently closed to the public (alumni access only). Other colleges may offer free entry. Don’t miss free spots like the Corpus Clock and Newton’s Apple Tree! 🚣 Punting: I booked in advance via the official Let’s Go Punting website. 🍦 Food Tips: Order Jack’s Gelato online to skip the queue! Try the famous Chelsea Bun at Fitzbillies. Can’t wait to return to Cambridge someday 💕 #Cambridge #CambridgeTravel #UKTravel #FamilyTravel #Punting #XuZhimo #AcademicAdventure 🇬🇧✨
