🇬🇧 Cambridge Day Trip: This Guide is All You Need! 🎓✨

🚃 Transport From London King's Cross to Cambridge: ~50 mins by train. No need to book too early – UK trains often strike 🚧, and refunds/changes are hassle. For visitors from China, Ctrip is more user-friendly. Choose flexible return tickets for open return times! Off-peak round trip: ~£30 (approx. 280 RMB). 🗺️ Itinerary 1️⃣ Fitzwilliam Museum Free entry 🆓 | Tue–Sat 10:00–17:00, Sun 12:00–17:00 2️⃣ Mathematical Bridge Built entirely with triangular structures – no nails! But students took it apart and couldn’t reassemble it, so now it’s nailed 😂🔺 3️⃣ Corpus Clock ⏰ Also known as “The Time Eater”. Voted one of Time Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2008. Unveiled by Stephen Hawking – a reminder that time flies! 4️⃣ King’s College £18 ticket | Last entry 15:45 ⚠️ Xu Zhimo’s poetry stone is inside, but it was closed during my visit – only the chapel was open. 💡 Tip: If you know a Cambridge student, they can get you in for free. Or be bold – offer to buy a coffee ☕ to a student in exchange for entry! 5️⃣ Trinity College Newton’s Apple Tree 🍎 is at the entrance, but the college is not open to the public. 6️⃣ Bridge of Sighs 😮💨 Legend says failing students come here to sigh – hence the name! 7️⃣ Punting 🛶 Avg. £20 | 50-min ride | Compare prices – multiple vendors near the river. 🍽️ Food & Drinks Eat: Aromi – near the Corpus Clock. Pizza £7–8 – super affordable! 🍕 Drink: Bould Brothers Coffee ☕ – Cambridge’s top-rated café, highly recommended! #CambridgeUniversity #CambridgeTravel #DayTrip
