๐ฌ๐ง Food Guide | Cambridge
Before visiting Cambridge, I always imagined it as a secluded, tranquil town like the Peach Blossom Spring โ perfect for punting and peaceful walks. But behind its beauty lies an incredible food scene! ๐ฝ๏ธ ๐ด ๐ฆ Jack's Gelato (Must-Try Ice Cream) ๐: CB2 3QN Lives up to the hype! Youโll see it in every Cambridge bloggerโs top recommendations and in the hands of almost every passerby. ๐๐ฆ Thereโs something so summery about watching stylish people happily licking ice cream under the sun. Their flavours are innovative and not overly sweet โ the sweetness lingers just right. Highly recommend the Rum & Raisin, and the Dark Chocolate is also great โ bittersweet and balanced. ๐ด ๐ Azuma (Must-Try Braised Pork Rice) ๐: CB1 0SS Another highly recommended spot โ and it did not disappoint! ๐ The portion is generous and incredibly satisfying. This isnโt the Taiwanese-style lu rou fan with a sweet, aromatic broth and hints of shiitake. Instead, you get three large, tender pieces of braised pork reminiscent of Sichuan-style steamed pork belly (like mei cai kou rou). Itโs incredibly flavourful and goes perfectly with rice. Even the fatty parts are delicious โ my friend specifically went for those! โ ๏ธ Cash only. ๐ด ๐ฅจ Stir Bakery (Great If Youโre Passing By) ๐: CB4 1BG Tried their cheese scone and red velvet cookie โ both had just the right balance of savoury and sweet. ๐ฅ๐ช Their bread and baguettes are also excellent. Perfect spot for locals to grab breakfast on the go! ๐ด ๐ Good Friends Fried Chicken (Perfect Train Snack!) ๐: CB1 1DP A true foodie always plans ahead โ especially for train rides! ๐ Their fried chicken is pretty solid. While it might not beat the top brands from back home, itโs definitely among the best youโll find in the UK. The chili powder has quite a kick, though โ if you canโt handle spice, ask for less! ๐ถ๏ธ #LocalEats #Travel #FoodShare #Foodie #CambridgeFood #UKFood #CambridgeGuide
