Oxford is compact enough to explore on foot! Trains from London cost ~£10-15 (use Railcard). Pro tip: While tickets aren't always checked, it's best to buy one. We missed our train but staff said taking the next one was fine. 📍 Route (No Backtracking!) 1️⃣ Oxford Castle & Prison Just minutes from the station. Looked like a small hill—skipped it. 2️⃣ Christ Church 10-min walk. Impressive exterior with a large green area opposite. 🎟️ £18 (didn’t enter). 3️⃣ Radcliffe Camera Stunning library (students-only), but perfect for photos outside. 4️⃣ University Church of St Mary the Virgin Must climb the tower! 🎟️ £5 (127 steps—worth it for panoramic views!). Left side: Church interior + souvenirs (T-shirts £9). 5️⃣ Bridge of Sighs 2-min walk. Oxford’s version of Venice’s bridge—quick photo stop. 6️⃣ Oxford Natural History Museum 🆓 Free! A mini London NHM with touchable animal replicas + live insects. 7️⃣ Covered Market Food + quirky shops.
