Every once in a while, I crave paella and just can't resist coming back to this Spanish restaurant in London that I've visited countless times. 📍 EI Pirata of Mayfair, 5-6 Down St, W1J 7AQ 💰 Average cost per person: £30-50 🌟 Gambas al pil pil Garlic Shrimp 💰£9.25 When served, the dish is sizzling with oil, the shrimp are fresh and large, and the garlic and olive oil are a perfect match. I recommend ordering some bread to dip in it – it's heavenly. 🌟 Pulpo al pirata Octopus and Potato 💰£15.50 The octopus is so tender it's almost bursting with juice when you bite into it. The potatoes are soft, oily, and seem to have been fried. 🌟 Ribeye con rucola y manchego Ribeye Steak 💰£25 We ordered it medium-rare and it was impressive, with plenty of meat juices. The portion is worth the price, and it's especially refreshing when combined with the cheese slices and arugula. 🌟 Paella Marinera Seafood Paella 💰£45 A must-order! I don't think you can find a better seafood paella in London. The broth is absorbed into every grain of rice, which is cooked just right, and there's plenty of seafood including cod, prawns, squid rings, and mussels. It's enough for three people, and I always ask for Tabasco to add some spicy sauce and lemon for an even more fragrant flavor. 🌟 Jamón Ibérico 100% Iberian Ham 💰£29.50 It's no wonder this is 5J top-tier ham, with its salty and fragrant flavor and firm texture that gets better the more you chew. It's 50g, which might be a bit much for two people, but it's worth ordering. 🥧 Tarta Santiago Santiago Cake 💰£8.50 It's an almond cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a wafer on top. It's not too sweet or greasy, but I personally didn't love it. You can try it for a new experience. 🍹 Sangria 💰£8 My favorite, always consistent! A mix of fruit and red wine is very refreshing and helps to cut through the richness of the meal. If you haven't tried it, you must order it! 🍸 Expresso Martini 💰£12.50 A very pure coffee aroma, somewhat like a coffee-flavored Baileys, but not as sweet.
