🇬🇧 London Tour Diary | A Day in Oxford with Auntie Liang

Today, I accompanied Auntie Liang from Guangzhou to explore Oxford’s scholarly charm. We crafted a classic yet relaxed route to avoid crowds while soaking in the city’s magic. Here’s how it went: 1️⃣ Broad Street & Trinity College 📚 Met at King’s Cross, took the train to Oxford Station (10-min walk to the city center). Strolled Broad Street—lined with historic bookshops like Blackwell’s (home to the legendary Norrington Room wall of books!). Auntie’s take: “Guangzhou has big bookstores too, but this feels like walking through history!” 2️⃣ Trinity College 🏛️ (Turl Street) Quiet courtyards, honey-colored stone walls, and emerald lawns. Perfect for a serene pause. 3️⃣ Christ Church College ⚡ (Tom Quad + Great Hall) Pre-booked tickets saved us time! Highlights: Tom Tower & Cathedral: Stained glass glowing in sunlight. The Great Hall: Hogwarts’ dining hall in the flesh—"Wingardium Leviosa!" 🧙♂️ 4️⃣ Bridge of Sighs 🌉 (New College Lane) Auntie adored this elegant skyway linking two buildings—“So clever!” 5️⃣ Bodleian Library & Radcliffe Camera 📚 Radcliffe Square = Oxford’s beating heart. The round Radcliffe Camera stole the show! 6️⃣ St Mary’s Church Tower ⛪ Climbed up for panoramic views—spires, rooftops, and winding streets galore! Auntie’s verdict: “Next time, Cambridge!” #OxfordTour #LondonDayTrips #UKGuides
