During the May Day holiday, two "P-types" (no-planners) bravely ventured to the UK without an itinerary. Spoiler: Xiaohongshu didn’t lie—no plan = punishment! (RIP Harry Potter Studio dreams 😭). Back home, we nightly compiled these tips so you won’t suffer like us this summer (June-Sept)! 🛂 UK Visa Tips 📍 UK visa ≠ Schengen—apply 1-2 months early! 📍 Essentials: Passport, ID, bank statements, proof of employment/studies. 🚗 Transport Survival Guide ◾ Tube: Get an Oyster Card (discounts!). ◾ Buses: Wave aggressively—they won’t stop otherwise! ✋ ◾ Taxis: Uber/Bolt > hailing cabs (cheaper!). ◾ Trains: Book online (Trainline), but stations have ZERO signal. 📵 📲 Must-Have Apps 🗺 Google Maps: Navigate + check opening hours. 😉 Google Translate: For non-English speakers. 🚕 Uber/Bolt: Still expensive, but less so. 🎫 Trainline/Railcard: Save $$$ on trains (worth it for 2+ trips!). 🍽️ TripAdvisor: Find food that won’t bankrupt you. 🚋 TfL Go: Real-time London transport updates. ✨ 12-Day Classic UK Itinerary (Adjustable!) Day 1: London → Thames night cruise. Day 2: British Museum → Big Ben → Tower Bridge → Westminster Abbey. Day 3: Buckingham Palace (Changing Guard!) → Harry Potter Studio (RIP our souls) → Cambridge. Day 4: King’s College → Punting → York. Day 5: York Minster → Shambles → Chocolate Factory. Day 6: York → Edinburgh → Elephant Café (JK Rowling’s spot!). Day 7: Edinburgh Castle → National Museum → Royal Mile. Day 8: Edinburgh → Lake District (Peter Rabbit Museum!). Day 9: Lakes → Manchester → Cathedral + Salford Quays. Day 10: Manchester → Cotswolds. Day 11: Cotswolds → Oxford. Day 12: Oxford → Windsor Castle → Fly home.
