Cambridge Itinerary Guide: 🌤️ Weather Forecast: August 26, 2025 – Sunny ☀️, 25°C 👕 Outfit Suggestions: T-shirt + long pants (bring a light jacket for morning/evening temperature changes) 🛡️ Safety Index: 100% safe – We were still strolling around at 10 PM! 🚌 Transportation Tips: Bus fare starts at £2.2 (same price for adults and children) Cambridge is compact and easily walkable! Once you get off at the City Centre stop, you’ve basically arrived. European universities don’t have defined gates—Cambridge University is integrated into the town. You only need to visit the main highlights—no need to see everything! ✅ Perfect Walking Route (Super smooth, no backtracking!): Cambridge Train Station ➖ Fitzwilliam Museum ➖ Corpus Clock ➖ Jack’s Gelato 🍦 ➖ Great St. Mary’s Church ➖ King’s College ➖ Trinity College ➖ Newton’s Apple Tree 🍎 ➖ St. John’s College ➖ Bridge of Sighs ➖ Queens’ College ➖ Mathematical Bridge 🌉 When we reached the Mathematical Bridge, many students offered punting tours. Options included student-guided or self-punting: adults £22, students £20, children £12. We walked downstream and found another punting company—negotiated £50 for 2 adults and 2 kids 🤝. Punting is highly recommended! Many colleges aren’t open to visitors, but the boat ride passes by numerous iconic spots like the Bridge of Sighs, Mathematical Bridge, and the "Farewell to Cambridge" site. The scenery along the way is breathtaking! 🌿 After punting, walk toward the end of the river—there’s a large park perfect for photos and relaxation. We stayed in Cambridge for 2 nights at a youth hostel in a 4-bed room with a shared kitchen. It was the most comfortable and budget-friendly accommodation during our UK trip! We explored at a leisurely pace, bought groceries, and cooked our own meals—pure bliss 😊. Cambridge’s vibe is so peaceful and relaxing. #TravelTheWorld #Travel #UK #Cambridge 🇬🇧✨
