🇬🇧 UK | Hidden Gems in Cambridge

Having lived here for almost 4 years, I finally decided to share some lesser-known spots in Cambridge! Beyond the famous colleges and punting, there’s so much more to explore 💫 1️⃣ Great St Mary’s Church 🏰 Opposite King’s College — climb the tower for the classic skyline view! 🎫 Free entry | £7.5 to climb (no student discount 😤) 📸 Iconic Cambridge photo spot! 2️⃣ Parker’s Piece 🌿 My favorite park—perfect for sunset with the Ferris wheel 🎡 ⚽ Where modern football rules were written in 1848! ✨ Even saw the northern lights here last year 🌌 3️⃣ Cherry Hinton Chalk Pits 🏞️ Cambridge’s own “White Cliffs”—quiet quarry ruins ideal for a light hike 🥾 4️⃣ Grantchester 🌳 Lovely riverside walk along the Cam—green, peaceful, but popular! 5️⃣ Museums 🖼️ Fitzwilliam Museum: Like a mini British Museum—grand & free! Around Downing Site: 🦴 Archaeology & Anthropology Museum ⛏️ Sedgwick Earth Sciences Museum 🐘 Zoology Museum ⚛️ Whipple Science History Museum 🧊 Polar Museum Spend half a day here—it’s worth it! 6️⃣ Silver Street Bridge 📸 Best spot to photograph the Mathematical Bridge + punting boats! 7️⃣ Round Church ⛪ One of only 4 round churches in England 🏛️ 👀 Nice outside, but skip paid entry—Cambridge students go free! Cambridge is small but rich in history. Every street has charm 🚶♀️❤️ Perfect for travelers and residents alike. I’ll miss this place 💔 #Cambridge #UKTravel #StudyInUK #HiddenGems #CambridgeLife
