Just returned from the UK, and I'm still drowning in British charm! 🥹 Decided to go last December, so we scrambled for DIY visas. Saw many advising against winter visits, but hubby's dream of watching Man Utd play won out! ⚽❤️ 📍 Days 1-4: London Blitz ⛪ Westminster Abbey First stop after dropping luggage—mind-blowing! The coronation site of British royals + resting place of legends. 🎫 £27/adult (book online, includes audio guide). 🎡 Big Ben & London Eye Right next to Westminster! Gloomy London weather ☔, but the sunset photos were magical 📸. 🏛️ British Museum A must-visit! Hired a guide online—way better experience. 🎫 Free entry (opens 10 AM, no bag = faster security). 🎨 Notting Hill Straight out of the movie! Pastel houses + vintage markets = postcard-perfect. 🏡🌈 🚇 Central Line to Notting Hill Gate. ⛲ Hyde Park Picked a sunny day ☀️—fed swans 🦢 (bring bread!), though the lawn was under maintenance. 🚇 Piccadilly Line to Hyde Park Corner. ⏰ Greenwich Stand on the Prime Meridian! 🌍 🚇 DLR to Cutty Sark. 📍 Days 5-6: Manchester ⚽ 🚄 London Euston → Manchester Piccadilly ⏰ 2-hour ride | 💰 £25-50 (book early via National Rail/Trainline). 🏟 Old Trafford Tour Holy grail for Man Utd fans! Includes: Museum (history + trophies 🏆) Stadium tour (tunnel, locker room, benches—guided!) 🎫 £28/adult (must book online). 🔥 LIVE Man Utd Match The ENTIRE reason for this trip! ⚽💥 Even though they didn’t win, the atmosphere was electric.
