šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ UK Travel|Cambridge Day Trip

If I had to choose between Oxford and Cambridge in a limited time—I’d pick Cambridge, no doubt! šŸ’š Unlike Chinese universities with enclosed campuses, Cambridge University is spread across the town, with some colleges free to enter and others requiring tickets. šŸ›ļø šŸŽ« I bought my train ticket at a London station counter—better to choose a direct train. The journey takes less than 2 hours. I absolutely love Cambridge! On a sunny day, it has everything I adore: sunlight, lawns, the river, flowers… and of course, the world-famous university! One day is enough to explore, but staying a few days would be lovely too. šŸŒžšŸŒæ šŸ‘£ Route (can navigate from the train station): Pembroke College → Corpus Clock → King’s College → Newton’s Apple Tree → Trinity College → (walk back to) Mathematical Bridge → Punting on the Cam → Fitzwilliam Museum. 🌸 Bloommill Flowers: Next to a beautiful perfumery with scented products named after the four seasons—such a lovely concept! šŸ›ļø Pembroke College: Free entry! Stumbled upon it and was amazed by its beauty. ā° Corpus Clock: One of Cambridge’s iconic landmarks. šŸ‘‘ King’s College: Founded in 1441 by King Henry VI, it’s one of the most famous colleges in Cambridge. The King’s College Chapel is a classic example of Gothic architecture, known for its stunning vaulted ceiling and spires. Ticket required. The lawn in front is perfect for relaxing in the sun ā˜€ļø The Xu Zhimo Memorial Stone is located here. šŸŽ Newton’s Apple Tree: Lots of ā€œpropā€ apples on the ground—a popular photo spot! After these sights, you’ll reach a street full of shops perfect for food and drinks. Then head to the ā€œMathematical Bridgeā€ for punting—many vendors offer tours. I remember green and blue companies—green was cheaper. Ticket: Ā£22/adult, Ā£20 with student ID (photo accepted). About 8 people per boat šŸš£ā™‚ļø The handsome guide gave a fun commentary and passed famous spots like the Bridge of Sighs. The ride takes 45 minutes. Gliding along the Cam at sunset with ducks swimming by—so healing! šŸ¦†šŸŒ… If there’s time, visit the free Fitzwilliam Museum (closes at 17:30). Ground floor: exhibits | First floor: paintings šŸ–¼ļø The Egyptian gallery was my favorite! šŸœ Dinner at a Vietnamese pho restaurant—tasty, and each table gets a free postcard. šŸ’ For fans of the 1983 version of The Legend of the Condor Heroes: Barbara Yung s buried in Cambridge Cemetery. It’s about an hour away by bus. #LondonDayTrip #CambridgeGuide #UKTravel #PuntingInCambridge
