🇭🇷 Šibenik: A Croatian Coastal Gem

✅Šibenik may be smaller than its famous neighbors like Split and Zadar, but this charming coastal town has won my heart through repeated visits. What makes it special? 🔶The local government has invested heavily to revitalize the historic center, especially during summer when cultural events bring the stone-paved streets to life. ✅As the only major Croatian coastal city built entirely by Croatians (without Roman or Greek influence), Šibenik's Old Town is a mesmerizing labyrinth of winding stone staircases and narrow alleys that exude quiet charm. 🔷My recent visit coincided with the International Children's Festival, when the entire historic center transforms into an open-air art gallery. 🌅Children's colorful drawings adorned ancient walls and squares, creating a whimsical atmosphere. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch before stopping at Caffe Bar Lasica for their excellent espresso. 🌅For dinner, we tried Pa Kai, an innovative Asian fusion restaurant. But the highlight was discovering the beautifully restored St. Lawrence Monastery, 🔷where a lush Mediterranean garden blooms in the tranquil courtyard - a perfect oasis away from the summer crowds. #Croatia #CoffeeCulture #ArtTown #AdriaticGem
