🇭đŸ‡ș Hungary | Don't Miss This Medieval Kingdom Capital

Many people enjoy complaining about the places they visit, but I prefer to appreciate and seek out the things I love. Travel requires empathy; otherwise, every destination can seem dull. Recently, I shared about Budapest and received a comment saying, "Don't be fooled by Budapest's filters; it's just a dirty, messy, poor, and expensive place." If Budapest is considered dirty and expensive, then there might not be many suitable destinations in Europe for such critics! Those without empathy and an eye for beauty might not be suited for travel. Today, I'm sharing a small city just an hour's drive from Budapest. It was once the capital of the Kingdom of Hungary, where many Hungarian kings were born and crowned. Even after the capital was moved, this place remained their coronation site and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, SzĂ©kesfehĂ©rvĂĄr. ✅ Transportation Tips 🚞 Direct trains are available from Budapest's DĂ©li station. Trains depart every 30 minutes and take approximately 56 minutes to arrive. Tickets can be purchased at the station's ticket machine without prior booking, and seating is not assigned. ✅ Best Duration to Visit The town is small and perfect for a day trip from Budapest. If you enjoy hot springs, consider staying overnight, as the famous Lake Velencei Thermal Resort is nearby. ✅ Must-Visit Spots in SzĂ©kesfehĂ©rvĂĄr 1ïžâƒŁ Bori Castle The old royal palace of Hungary and the final resting place of many kings. 2ïžâƒŁ St. Stephen's Basilica 3ïžâƒŁ KovĂĄcs JenƑ ÓramĂșzeum Ă©s ÓrajĂĄtĂ©k A clock tower that's great for photos. 4ïžâƒŁ Arpad Bath A famous bathhouse still in use today. 5ïžâƒŁ Medieval Ruin Garden 6ïžâƒŁ Country Apple Statue A landmark of the town and one of Hungary's ten landmarks. 7ïžâƒŁ Szent IstvĂĄn KirĂĄly MĂșzeum Features the king's crown, the bishop's staff, and cloak. 8ïžâƒŁ SzĂ©kesfehĂ©rvĂĄr Bishop's Palace ✅ Food Recommendations đŸ…°ïž PĂĄtria Cafe and Restaurant Traditional Hungarian cuisine that's delicious and affordable.
