🇭🇺 Hungary | Hollókő, a UNESCO World Heritage Village 🏡
A weekend getaway near Budapest When you see the giant raven sculpture at the entrance🐦⬛, you know you're close. Take a stroll through the village of Hollókő, where you'll find many mini museums, handicrafts, embroidery, prints, and not far away, the Hollókő Castle. In the mid-13th century, after the Mongol invasion, the construction of Hollókő Castle protected the area from future enemies. In 1987, as the only remaining traditional village in Hungary, Hollókő, along with its castle ruins and surrounding areas, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After exploring the village, walk a few hundred meters to a signpost marked “Isten Tenyere Kilátó⬅️”. Follow the mountain path ⛰️ for over 40 minutes to reach “God's Hand”. I highly recommend this town; it's perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. #TravelDiary #Hungary #Budapest
