🇮🇪 Cork Travel Diary - 2 Days 1 Night ✨
🏨 Hotel: Maldron Hotel Shandon Cork City €135/night - A bit dated but cozy! Self-check-in kiosks, though the restaurant has lovely vintage charm. ☕ 📍 Patrick’s Hill + Bell’s Field The steepest city road I’ve ever seen! Cars parked on the slope without blocks—how do they not slide?! 😳 But the view from the top? Stunning! 🌆 ⛪ Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral Gorgeous path, breathtaking church… but closed when I arrived. 😭 (Note: Check opening times!) 🍱 Miyazaki Japanese Takeaway ~€25/person. Came for salmon poke bowl… but no sashimi at all! Ended up with tasty pork cutlet rice instead. Cozy vibe + super friendly Japanese staff! 🍚 🍰 Butter Bubble The mille crêpe cakes (matcha, strawberry, rainbow) are must-tries! 🍵🎂 Skip the bubble tea though—meh. 🛍️ English Market Closed when I visited, but the area is Cork’s heart—great for wandering! Lots of shops (though similar to Dublin’s). 🐾 Fota Wildlife Park Better than Dublin Zoo! Feels like a fairy-tale forest with its paths and penguin habitat. 🐧 But some animals looked thin…? 🥺 Bonus: Ferris wheel ride (€5/3 rounds)! 🎡 💰 Total trip cost: ~€250/person Next Time in Cork: 🏰 Blarney Castle & Gardens (Kiss the Blarney Stone for luck! 💋) 🌈 Deck of Cards House (Colorful iconic cottages!) #CorkDiaries #IrelandTravel #WeekendGetaway #HiddenGems #FoodieAdventures 🍀
