🇮🇪 One-Day Trip to Cork | Goose Feeding Edition 🦆

Transportation: Bought round-trip tickets from Dublin Heuston to Cork on Irish Rail. We took the 8:00 AM train from Dublin and arrived in Cork at 10:30 AM. The return trip was on the last train at 8:20 PM from Cork, arriving back in Dublin at 11:00 PM. Itinerary (Packed & Fun Version!) 🚶‍♀️✨ Walked from the train station to the English Market 🛒 – A small but lively market with lots of tourists. Shops sold bread, souvenirs, and more. Visited The Grumpy Bakers 🥐 – My friend loves this place! I got a cinnamon roll and a strawberry cruffin—both delicious! (The area is a shopping district, so feel free to explore if you have time.) Stopped by Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral ⛪ – Took lots of photos outside but didn’t go in. Lunch at Miyazaki 🍣 – Opens at 1:00 PM. Super popular, so arrive on time! They mostly do takeaway, so seating is limited. We were a few minutes late and had to wait until 2:00 PM. Food was good, though! (All the above were within walking distance!) Took the bus to The Lough (Swan Lake!) 🦢 – Fed the geese! You can buy feed for €0.60 per handful. My friend even saw a cute grey cygnet! We fed the geese on the shore (so many of them!) and enjoyed the lakeside views. 🌿 Explored UCC (University College Cork) 🏛️ – Arrived around 3:00–4:00 PM. We found a classroom to rest, charge our phones, and chat. Then we wandered around campus—great for photos! Walked to Patrick’s Hill (Lover’s Slope) 💕 – On the way, we grabbed cake from the English Market for a friend’s birthday and did some shopping. The hill was prettier than expected! Dinner at Nosh 19 🥢 – A super popular Chinese restaurant. We called ahead to reserve. The manager was super nice and sped up our order since we had a train to catch. Finished by 8:00 PM, then walked to the train station (faster than the bus—only 20 mins!). Caught the 8:20 PM train back to Dublin. #Cork #UCC #Dublin #Ireland #LifeInIreland #DayTrip #CorkDayTrip #TravelIreland 🌍📸
