🇮🇸 Iceland Must-Try: Endlessly Refillable Classic Bread Sheep Soup
📍 Icelandic Street Food Lækjargata 8, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland 🎈 How can you visit Iceland without trying the local specialty - bread lamb soup 🤩🙌🏻? The lamb soup is simmered slowly and is served with carrots and potato cubes, all contained within a "bowl" made from a loaf of bread. The inner walls of the bread absorb the salty and delicious broth, creating a soft and dense texture. With a gentle scrape of a spoon, you can scoop out a piece of soaked bread combined with the lamb soup and meat, a truly satisfying experience! 🎈 This restaurant offers two types of soups to choose from, fish soup and the classic lamb soup, priced at 3000 Icelandic krónur per person, with unlimited refills. After finishing your bowl, you can go to the front desk for more soup as long as your bread bowl can still hold it 🤣. So, drink up quickly! The bread bowl absorbs the broth very quickly, and if it absorbs too much, the bottom may leak. The menu is placed at the end, and those who need it can flip to the last page for self-service 😊. 🎈 They also have an all-you-can-eat waffle bar. The portion of lamb soup and meat is very generous; I had two bowls and refilled once before I was full 🙌🏻. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, clean and cozy, and I highly recommend it to those visiting Iceland! The steaming hot lamb soup will truly warm you up. #Iceland #IcelandTravel #IcelandTrip #IcelandTravelGuide #IcelandStrategy #IcelandFood #IcelandExploration #Reykjavik #ReykjavikTravel #ReykjavikDaily #ReykjavikFood #ReykjavikExploration #ReykjavikRestaurants #ReykjavikTraditionalFood
