🇮🇹 If You Try Only One Italian Restaurant in Pittsburgh ✨

Local food critics and Italian immigrants all agree—this is the most authentic Italian spot in the city! Besides being hard to book, it’s absolutely perfect. As someone who’s been three times, I fully agree 😍 From ingredients to execution—everything is flawless. 🍞 House-made focaccia Crispy outside, soft and airy inside—so fragrant! But be careful…don’t fill up on bread! 😂 🐚 Scallops on beets Pan-seared scallops with beetroot—tender and sweet. Still a favorite after three visits! 🐚 Razor clam Surprised to see razor clams—and they’re huge! So tender~ 🍤 Shrimp/tomato/herbs Tapas-style shrimp—firm and bouncy. Well-spiced, but not as memorable as the scallops or clams. 🐙 Grilled octopus with caper and olive Soft inside, crispy outside. A bit salty on its own, but still a must-order every time! 🧀️ Raw beef tenderloin with Reggiano and arugula Reggiano (a type of Parm) + silky beef = rich and delicious! Even though we were full, we couldn’t skip the mains: ✨ Seafood and saffron risotto Packed with cod, scallops, shrimp, and squid—so generous! Creamy but not mushy. A must for seafood lovers 🦞 🍅 Gnocchi with Bolognese Soft potato dumplings with classic meat sauce—not oily or overpowering. The perfect hearty contrast to the seafood risotto! The combo of seafood + meat, rice + pasta made the meal feel complete 👏 🧡 Service was also excellent—well-paced courses and helpful explanations. The vibe is cozy and dimly lit—just like a neighborhood trattoria in Europe. The owner is a charming Italian man, too~ 🇮🇹 Dish Osteria 📍 128 S 17th St, Pittsburgh 🅿️ Street parking available—but reserve ahead! Wishing everyone a great weekend!
