🇲🇽 Starting My Latin America Journey with a Gap Year｜Entering Mexico

Crossed into Tijuana from San Diego, USA by land 🚗➡️🇲🇽 Tijuana—known as one of the world’s top 10 most dangerous cities 🏙️☠️… But right outside the port, you find a lively downtown. The whole city is basically built right next to the border wall. The best part? Everything is about 70% cheaper compared to the US 💸🤯! No wonder so many Americans come here to have a good time 🍻😆 (When I told people in the US I was going to Tijuana, I got some serious side-eye 👀🙄. Over there, going to Tijuana has a… reputation.) And guess who I randomly ran into while exploring the city? I was just watching their LA vlogs a few days ago, and then suddenly there they were—in the flesh 🤩! The world is so small. Those who love traveling always find each other on the road 🌍❤️. This post is just the beginning of my Latin America chapter 📖✨. Next up: solo backpacking across Latin America 🎒🌎!
