đŸ‡ČđŸ‡œ Sweet Adventures in Mexico City 🍼✹

While wandering around Mexico City, I tried so many little desserts—some planned, some stumbled upon đŸ—șïžđŸ€€. Most were in Roma Norte and JuĂĄrez. First up: the famous PanaderĂa Rosetta đŸ„đŸŒč Went on a weekday, both at noon and evening—always a long line! Was about to wait 40 mins, but got lucky 🍀 when a staff member led us in unexpectedly! Ordered the famous rol de guayaba (guava roll) and a berry napoleon 🍓🍰. The guava roll lived up to its name—sweet and tangy fruit wrapped in buttery pastry. So good I wanted to take one home for the next day! The napoleon was a surprise highlight—flaky, airy layers that broke gently with each bite đŸ„„đŸ’„. Rich cream and butter flavors
My friend inhaled half of it the second it arrived 😂. Next: CafĂ© Nin ☕🌿 Heard raves about their fig and walnut cake—but it was totally different than expected! Top layer: candied figs. Bottom: moist walnut cake. The cream was barely sweet—almost slightly salty, simple and comforting. My friend and I were stunned at first bite—so unique and humble✹. Then—CHUROS! 🧡 We went to CHUCHO, a specialty shop where you can customize shape and toppings đŸŽšđŸ«. We tried two different styles, but honestly—it’s still fried dough with chocolate sauce 😋. Very very sweet though—share one if you’re not a big sugar fan! :A little cart near ZĂłcalo (Constitution Square) selling warm fruit punch 🍐🍯 Made with loquat, sugarcane, pear
steaming and sweet. I had a cold, so I grabbed a cup—and the vendor added a piece of fresh sugarcane 🎋. It was (sweet-sour) and fruity, a bit too sweet but weirdly nostalgic—like the pear syrup we drank as kids 🧒🍯. (Top): A street snack called gaznate—like fried tofu skin wrapped in wet meringue 🍯⚡ Super sweet, drippy
only try if you’re curious! (Bottom): Flan from a local restaurant 🍼 This one was weirdly porous—not the smooth, wobbly kind I love. Felt more like eating the bubbly bottom part of steamed egg đŸ„šâ€Š During DĂa de Muertos, you’ll also find Pan de Muerto everywhere—a sweet, soft bun often topped with sugar 🧡🍞💀. Definitely worth trying! #DayOfTheDead #MexicoCity #MexicoTravel #MexicanFood #DessertLover #TravelAndEat #FoodieAdventure đŸ€€âœš
