Famous as the signing place of the Treaty of Maastricht, this charming European city is also close to the tri-border area of the Netherlands 🇳🇱, Belgium 🇧🇪, and Germany 🇩🇪. With just one day of city walking, you can explore most of this beautiful town! 📍 Selexyz Dominicanen (Heavenly Bookstore) 🕍 – Housed in an ancient church, said to be the "closest place to heaven," hence its name. The books are all in foreign languages (unreadable for me), but there’s a photogenic corner on the second floor—super Instagrammable! 📍 Pink Church (Sint Janskerk) – A striking and beautiful church. Free to enter, but climbing to higher levels requires a small fee. 📍 Bonnefanten Museum 🕌 – A riverside museum with an industrial-style exterior. Didn’t go inside due to time constraints. 📍 Hell Gate (Helpoort) � – "Heaven inside, hell outside." In the past, plague victims were cast outside to perish, but now the area is filled with people singing and laughing—full of joy! 📍 Maastricht Meets Europe – A random photo spot near Hell Gate, perfect for group pics. 📍 St. Servatius Bridge (Sint Servaasbrug) 🌉 – An ancient yet fascinating bridge! One section is fixed stone, while the other can be raised for passing ships. 📍 Market Square (Markt) – A lively market during my visit.
