🇳🇴 Norway Kistefos Museum: The Ultimate Guide for Your Visit
Jevnaker, located next to Oslo, is home to two famous attractions: Hadeland Glassverk and Kistefos Museum. 🌿 Among them, The Twist museum, situated above the scenic Kistefos Sculpture Park river, serves as a bridge connecting both riverbanks. Its twisted shape links the forest area with the higher northern hillside, with entrances at both ends. 🌉 Even though it rained the entire day of my visit, I was still completely blown away by this forest museum and its many captivating large-scale sculptures. If you’re looking to explore around Oslo, I highly recommend coming here! 🌟 Some online reviewers have recommended visiting this place, but the directions they provided were not very clear. If you’re driving, that’s one thing. But if you’re using public transportation, I’ve personally tried it and want to share my experience with you all. 🚌 🚗 How to Get There? There’s only one round-trip bus per day, and it costs 💰500 NOK. - It departs from Oslo Bus Terminal at 10:15 AM, and the journey takes about an hour and a half. - It returns from Hadeland Glassverk at 4:50 PM. This place is a glass museum where you can experience glass-making, buy glass souvenirs, and enjoy a buffet restaurant for 💰199 NOK. The food is quite tasty and reasonably priced! - The bus passes by Kistefos Museum at 5:00 PM and returns to Oslo Bus Terminal, taking the same amount of time as the outbound trip. I suggest visiting both places if you have the time. 🌿 ⏰ Operating Schedule: ⚠️ The bus doesn’t run every day. During the summer season, the express VY66 Oslo–Jevnaker runs from May 29 to September 21, on Thursdays to Sundays, and from September 27 to October 12, on Fridays to Sundays. If you’re reading this post in the future during the winter, I recommend checking the schedule on the official website. 📅 📒 Key Points 📒 Here are the details: At Oslo Central Station, which has both a train station and a bus station connected together, follow the signs to find the bus area marked with the icon in Figure 3. Enter the hall, look for the sign in Figure 4 (Oslo Busterminal), take the elevator down, and walk straight to find the timetable. Locate the VY66 bus, which departs from Gate A6. At this point, you still haven’t bought your ticket. Find a green machine. The default departure location is Oslo S. For the return, search for Kistefos Museum and purchase a round-trip ticket. Swipe your card, pay, and you’re all set. Make sure to look for the vy bus in Figure 8. One more thing: Although I downloaded the vy app, I found that I couldn’t place an order directly through it. But that’s not important. What’s important is finding the right bus stop! 🚌 I hope everyone has a smooth trip! This place is definitely worth a visit! 🌟 #ScandinavianTravel #Norway #OpenAirMuseum #ArchitecturalAesthetics #SustainableDesign #ArchitectureAndNature #ArtGalleryRecommendations #MuseumVisit #ContemporaryArtMuseum #MuseumExploration
