🇳🇿|Taupo Adventure, Finally!
After finishing three assignments on Saturday and surviving a P&G assessment (phew! 😮💨), I finally made it to Taupo today! 🎉 Living as an international student with no car is like being a "0" in a gay bar full of "1"s—awkward and out of place. 😂 And today, my body decided to betray me too. 💀 🌊 Huka Falls – Where Water Turns to Foam The jet boat captain told us that "Huka" means foam in Māori—and it’s easy to see why! The crystal-clear water gets violently squeezed through the narrow gorge, exploding into snow-white rapids. ❄️💦 Walking along the shaded trail beside the falls was so refreshing, a totally different vibe from the lakeside excitement. It had that kind of beauty that makes you so hungry you could eat a person. 😤🍽️ 🥩 The Steak House – Good, But Where’s the Seafood? Had dinner at The Steak House—tasty, but no seafood?! 😭 I was craving oysters, lobster, and especially CRAYFISH (why is NZ so lacking in spicy crawfish?! 🦞🔥). 🍹 Easter Sunday = No Booze?! After dinner, I planned to mix cocktails at the motel, picked out all the snacks, juice, and soda at the supermarket… only to realize—Easter Sunday = NO ALCOHOL SALES. 💔🚫 My dreams of a tipsy lakeside night were shattered. #StudyAbroadLife #NewZealand #NZDiaries #TaupoTravels #HukaFalls #WhereAreTheCrayfish #EasterFail
